Hi everyone. My daughter and I will be in Europe next May for 17 days. Have been once before to London, Paris, Florence and Black Forest. Would like to see Amsterdam, Salzburg, Cinque Terre and Nice. We realize the trains are long between Amsterdam and Salzburg and from Salzburg to Cinque Terre. Can anyone recommend a fun place to see in between Ams-Salz or the Salz-Cinque Terre segments? Or any other suggestions? We would appreciate help!

I would not plan a trip which includes those four long days of train travel. David himself said you are better off flying. Has your daughter been to Paris because with your one visit I would not rule out Paris. I also wouldn't make the CT my one priority in Italy as it is low on my list and Nice is an odd choice for a place to visit in France based on current events.
