My friends and I are considering a dinner cruise in Amsterdam. It seems there are many choices. Does anyone have advice on a good, reasonably priced cruise?
Regardless of what cruise you choose, here are my tips: - ask that you will be guaranteed to seat together. Some cheaper cruises will cramp strangers in the same table. - avoid taking a cruise that already starts in early evening, the canals' walls will block any view and without sunlight there is not much to be appreciated - take a peek of the menu, to make sure you are not embarking on a "snack cruise"
It was not a dinner cruise we took, guess you would call it a canal trip out of Boom Chicago in Amsterdam. Very small boat allowed maybe 10 people but we loved it, took our own wine, cheese, crackers etc and the man (an American living there for ten years) asked us which canal we wanted to see, I think it was fifteen euro as there were only three of us, if more people, price down to ten euro and we loved it as could go into the smaller canals. Just an idea for you.
