AMS and what else?

I'll be in Amsterdam this upcoming Nov. I've been there before and have seen a lot there.

My trip is for 5 days. Looking to go somewhere else, just not sure where. Open to anything. I'm a 24 year old guy traveling solo. Would appreciate some ideas. Thanks!

It's not exactly next door, but would be a quick flight. Berlin or Prague! Great mix of interesting historical stuff and art, and nightlife/restaurants/coffee shops/hostel scene.

We really enjoyed our time in Belgium (Bruges & Brussels) and it was super easy travel-wise from Amsterdam!

I'd see what flights are like in and out of Schipol for that period. Otherwise can second Brussels, if you're into beer it's amazing and the food is good, too. It's more of an "experience the city" kind of place than "a million attracts to sightsee" kind of place.

Brugges is pretty but I wouldn't recommend a solo 24 year old guy stay there overnight. It's not really aimed at your demographic, if you know what I mean. Nice to walk around for a few hours though, and not far away from Brussels.

Utrecht is cool, like a smaller version of Amstersdam and more of a University town vibe. Also great beer bars.

I haven't visited but Antwerp is rumored to be sort of cutting edge hip these days.

Thanks for the replies.

I've been to Berlin & Prague - maybe Munich would be fun?

Been to Brussels, but not Antwerp so that might work. I'd like to go somewhere that I can just roam, get a little lost and explore. Nightlife is always a plus too ;)
