There must be a story here. Why?
On this website's home page, isn't the flag they are holding up a 48 star flag?
We haven't had a 48 star flag since 1959. Rick was four then; he looks older than 4 in the picture.

The flag is one that flew over a French Chateau the day it was liberated at the end of WW2.

Thank you. I knew there must be story behind it.
BTW, I remember that flag well. For the first 15 years of my life, all through grade school when we saluted the flag in the morning, that was the flag.
