Im looking for a book or website that can help me find lodging in places like a monestary, a converted prison, castle, or other alternative places. I have a couple of RS books with a few ideas, as well as a few websites that he offers here. At this time I am planning to spend most of my time (2 months) in Western Europe.

Amanda With a quick google search, I found a series of books such as this one, The Guide to Lodging in France's Monasteries Eileen Barish (Author) at Amazon.com. Or order from your local bookseller. Depending on the time of year you are going, university housing may also be available. I am sure others will have suggestions as well. Bobbie

Budget Travel has done a couple of articles on "Weird Hotels", if you do a search on their site, you can find the article and links.
