Alpine village/old town within 2.5 hours of Munich airport

Hi,
Looking for a nice old town/alpine village to stay 2 nights within a 2.5 hour drive of Munich airport.
First off, we'll have a car and we have a 3:30pm flight back to the US.

Our tentative plan is arrive Munich and drive to Ramsau am Dachstein for 3 nights, as we normally do 2 to 3 hour drives upon arrival, no problem. Then 4 nights in Slovenia. That leaves our last 2 nights before the flight home. Any recommendations?

Just to note: our last few trips we've stayed in Hall in Tirol, Berchtesgaden area and Mittenwald for our "last night" before our flight home, plus we've already been to Zell am See, Fuessen, Zillertal, Garmisch, Salzburg, Prien (Chiemsee), Bad Tolz.
Thanks in advance.

Try one of the towns on the Ammersee -- either Dießen (smaller, less touristed, more authentic) on the southwest side or Herrsching on the east. Cruise the Ammersee on one of the elegant steamships, some of them 100+ years old. It's a pretty walk from Herrsching of about an hour (uphill, about 3.5 km) through the forest to Andechs. When you get there you'll be ready for a lunch and a cold brew in the Bräustüberl. Take the #951 bus back down to Herrsching.

Photos here.

Dießen is 83 km from the Munich Airport.

Thanks Jeff. Loved the photo's. Looks like a good possibility. We went to Andechs twice and really liked it.
