Allianz travel insurance

No I have never had a problem with Allianz paying a claim. I have only had 2 claims and they paid immediately.

We had a claim a year ago and they paid pretty promptly without a hassle. It was for airfare.

I may have bought the Allianz travel insrance that was suggested by the airline when I bought plane tickets. It might have been cheaper than buying it separately. I have not had any reason to make a claim. Read the fine print on what is and is not covered before clicking the yes button on any insurance. I have also bought trip insurance I found on insuremytrip dot com. What if one of my parents is dying just before I am supposed to take a trip? What if I have a heart attack far away from home? My great-grandfather with my same last name had a heart attack and died 6 weeks before he would have turned 40. I picked one trip insurance because it offered $5 thousand worth of dental. I had listened to an American guy on YouTube say, in Portugal, he got assaulted by a gang and one or more of them bashed him in the face and damaged his nose.

We have made three claims and they were all paid promptly. We have been buying the annual insurance which covers the multiple trips we take.

We have had two claims, one was for cancelling an entire trip and another was a minor claim for a flight delay (we got $$ for a hotel and meals).
Both paid, no problems.

I had a good experience with Allianz when we had to cancel a trip for health reasons last June.
