We will be in Alesund, Norway on the Eurodam June 24th 2010, from 7am to 6pm. We are trying to find a boat tour to the Hjorundfjord and Alesund area. Everything we find doesn't meet our needs timewise. Has anyone done this and do you remember the website or any other way to get in touch with them? Thanks Rosemary
Yes, we have. There trips are too long. We just want something about an hour and a half or two. Thanks
These people say they will arrange boat trips for you. A link to their website is on the page:

And this company does boat trips, including on to Hjorundfjord (2.5 hours or longer). There are shorter ones around the Alesund harbor area:

(Only in Norwegian, but I'll bet if you e-mailed them i English with questions they would respond in English).
I don't know anything about the boat tour. Alesund is on the coast, so it must be a good two hours or more away from the more interesting inner-fjord "fingers". That's where the wow sights are. Near the coast it's just "nice".
But Alesund, itself is a very pretty town, with plenty to see and do for a day. If you like Art Nouveau architecture, Alesund is amazing. There is also a nice hill near the center that you can climb to a priceless viewpoint and see how the city spills into the sea with distant islands in the background.
Thank you all for your input. I will checkout all the sites.
