Greetings All - Has anyone been to Tirana, Albania recently? I will be there in early July. Any ideas, tips, or recommendations? Hard to find a whole lot of info about it...

Its been over 7-8 years since I was there so my information is limited. Suggest you try to get your hands on the Lonely Planet guidebook that covers this area (it used to be the Western Balkans but I believe it has changed) and also try out the thorn tree forum on the LP website where you will be able to get more information.
Also check out inyourpocket for downloadable free guide books - these are updated every 2 months or so by locals and I find them great.
Also check out Balkanology.com which has good info.

Thank you for the information - very helpful. I will be there for 6 days, with some of those days on the beach.
