Has anyone used Condor Airlines or TAP Portugal to fly out of New York area to France?
Not connecting NYC to France, but I've flown them both.
Did you have a specic quesion?
Want to know if they are reliable. Some reviews are not great
They're fine. I don't think there's a single airline that doesn't have some bad reviews. But net/net- Condor and TAP are fine.
Condor is maybe disadvantaged in not being part of major alliances, reducing options available in case of a hiccup. And I'm leery of transiting Lisbon—e-gates are coming, but until then, immigration can be a nightmare.
We flew Condor from Seattle and had a great experience. We would fly them again.
Our only experience with TAP was flying Porto to Madrid a number of years ago. We had a very positive experience.
A year ago I flew TAP non-stop from Toronto to Lisbon, with a plus-and-minus reaction. New aircraft, on time, efficient if not charming cabin crew. Catering, in business class, was weak on main plates and fine on dessert and wines. Shabby selection of in-flight entertainment. For the hefty premium I was paying, I was grateful mostly for the extra elbow room.
