Airline seat cushions

Wondering if anyone has had experience with the self inflating seat cushions that are being advertised for long-distance travel? We travel yearly to Europe with long flights and wondering if they are worth the money. Looking for recommendations on specific cushions.

I never have, but will be doing this on our upcoming trip. A few months ago I severely bruised a sit bone, and sitting for long times is still not comfortable. I bought one of these for at home and in the truck, and it is a lifesaver for me. I plan on taking it on our overseas flight in 2 weeks. We travel very light and do carryon only, and this one folds up pretty small. It is mostly self inflating, which is nice in that I don't have to blow numerous times to get it inflated. It stays inflated too, where some you need to blow up every few days. This one is a keeper for me, and I ordered one for my husband as well.

Thanks for the recommendation! Just ordered the same one for my husband. Plane seats are becoming more painful.

Agree with mikliz97, I actually own 2 in turquoise. No matter what airline, or even class of service, sometimes it's just too uncomfortable, or I use it behind me to adjust the seat up. I also carry it for hard cafe seats.

I inflate mine not 100% either, just so it has a bit of give.

When I injured my sit bone, I tried to use one of the neck pillows that are U shaped, but it was not an inflatable one. That helped only a tiny bit and the flight home was incredibly painful. The one I have now works wonders for me though! I am glad I have tried this out at home before flying, but of course wish I didn't need to test it first;)
