Airfare price alert -- BOS,NYC,PHX (others) to Venice/FLR/MXP

On another travel board I was alerted to a really good deal if you are flying to Venice, Milan or Florence from PHX, BOS, PHL, NYC, CHI or LAX. From PHX I paid $712 for an open jaws to Venice and out of Florence flying out in late May and returning in June. From JFK, it is $686 ai. I am going PHX-PHL-VCE there and FLR-FRA-PHL-PHX back. The return day is going to suck, but I did a similar routing from Berlin last year and survived. You have to hunt but these prices are still available for some summer dates and then through October. According to a travel agent on another board, the airline forgot to include the fuel surcharge ($350ish) when setting up the fare. I think this means this price will not available for long. Some of you hate the airline, but if you are looking for a deal, check out US air.

Nice! I booked our plane tickets to Europe the other day and only paid $694.60 for each ticket! We are flying out on May 9 and coming back on May 31. CHS-MIA-LHR and then VCE-MAD-MIA-CHS. Likewise, our return day will suck! 5hr45min layover in MIA. Whatever...we didn't really care due to the price! We booked through American Airlines, though. I found the price on kayak. I've checked since then, and now the cheapest for our same itinerary is $779. I played around with different dates and different cities for departure/arrival til I found the best price that still worked for us. I think it's great that there are still really good airfare prices out there. Our budget really isn't suited to pay a grand for airfare.

wow! That's a good price compared to what I am looking at for the fall. Is that price taxes included or just the flight costs? Right now going Toronto to Venice,Milan -Toronto is ranging $1150-1300 and doing the same out of Syracuse is $1500.
OUCH!

I just booked a non-stop open-jaw route from Los Angeles to Paris and returning out of Amsterdam for $1188. For non-stop flights on weekends at reasonable times of the day I think that's not so bad. Flights from the West Coast to Europe are so darn long and I just hate layovers that can add as much as three hours to the itinerary.
