There was an article online indicating that AirBnb is starting to take heat from its many hosts because AirBnb was offering full refunds to guests cancelling stays over the next month or so in areas affected by the virus - even when the normal cancellation terms would not permit a refund.
We canceled our trip to Florida for next week and got a full refund (well after the normal cancellation date), but not without some static from the owner of the place we were renting who apparently was not happy that AirBnb chose to give back this money.
If you have an AirBnb booking coming up and are thinking about canceling, you may wish to consider doing so sooner rather than later. If too many hosts complain, AirBnb may be forced to adopt some modified approach that will not protect guests to the same extent. VRBO and other similar services have already taken a much more "host friendly" approach it appears.
