Air Lingus: anyone have experience on this airline. Taking it to Europe nex

We've found that Air Lingus will take us to Paris. Who has travelled on this airline and what was your experience? Are their rock-bottom prices reflective on their service... or is this simply a great priced airline? FROM EVERYONE'S REPLIES, THIS SOUND LIKE A GREAT AIRLINE TO FLY, SO YOU DON'T NEED TO REPLY ANY LONGER. THANKS A MILLION!

Aer Lingus is Ireland's national airline. Service on my flight from Dublin to Nice a few years ago was excellent.

Jean-Paul - Just flew from Paris to Dublin to Chicago less than two weeks ago and had a good experience. No problems at all.

I have flown Aer Lingus many times. Each time they were great, on-time, and they now have personal TVs for each seat. Connecting via Dublin to Europe is very easy too!

Just flew Aer Lingus BOS - DUB - MAN last month and had no complaints. The coach seats have the headrests that fold up on the sides for more comfortable sleeping and TVs on the back of each seat with several channels to choose from. Service is friendly, although I can't say anything about the food because I slept through the meal. I would fly them again.

I have been to Ireland four times and every time we flew Aer Lingus. The service was excellent, the flights got in early every time, and the food was good, too. I would not hesitate to fly with them again.

I agree. We flew them in 2008 from JFK to Dublin and they were quite fine. Not budget at all.

we used aer lingus to get to london this summer[INVALID]via dublin-because it was a good $300 less per ticket than any other airline. we flew out of JFK. our experience-the flight left about an hour late from JFK (NOT the airline's fault-JFK's fault!) but even so, they quickly and easily got us on a new connecting flight (from dublin to london). Additionally, the people who made this change were very nice and helpful. The flight home was super on time in every way. The planes themselves are nice-i think someone already mentioned the personal tvs in the backs of every seat. these had not even out on dvd yet movies available, and there wasn't even a charge. i definitely wouldn't fault the airline in any way, and i'd use them again but for the annoyance of having to change planes in dublin. i was not a fan of the dublin airport (not a fan is an understatement-it was BAD! but it is also under construction, so likely it will only get better.)

I've flown it in the past from SFO and it was always a nice flight. We took the new Aer Lingus-UAL codeshare from IAD-MAD in May and it was one of the best flights I have ever been on. Crew was US based and they really went all out.

I flew on Aer Lingus last winter from JFK-SNN, and we had a good flight. The planes are quite large, and we really enjoyed the 2-5-2 configuration since we were in a 2-seat section. The entertainment system on the seat back is fantastic, with roughly 20 movies to choose from, TV episodes, music and games. (Truth be told, I stayed up the entire red eye watching movies when I should have been sleeping!) The food was okay...not great but not terrible. Our flight arrived in Shannon roughly an hour and 10 minutes early due to a good tailwind. Our return flight didn't go as smoothly since our plane had a mechanical issue and we were delayed about 3 hours. But, we made to JFK just fine. I was really glad that I had elected to stay near JFK for the night rather than trying to get all the way back to BOI...we wouldn't have made it on a connecting flight. All in all, good flights on a good airline.

We were extremely pleased with the excellent on-time flights from Newark to Malaga and Paris to Newark last summer. We definitely recommend the airline.

The intra-European leg or your flight, i.e. from Dublin to Paris, will be like a flight on Southwest - just that you can pre-select your seat upon online-check-in. You have to pay for your snacks and drinks (although the prices are reasonable) and leg-room is limited. The aircraft used will be an Airbus A319 or A320/321 which is the same model Jetblue use. There is no in-seat video on those flights...
