Air Berlin Booking Fee

I'm looking at flights from Orlando to Germany, Austria, or Switzerland to connect to a 2017 Alpine My Way tour. Even though AirBerlin has low fares, this $300 booking fee was in the fine print. Does anybody have any experience with this charge? Would it apply to my flight? Would it be one $300 charge for the round or open-jaws trip? Thanks for your help. Which fee specifically?

The $300 Rebooking fee? Or the $300 Cancellation fee?

Ah, it's so obvious to me now that it is under the Cancellation heading, so is not just a fee that is added to every booking. I've apparently spent too many hours today looking at flight booking sites. Thank you, Mark, for your help.

No worries. The chart is not laid out the best and it can seem confusing.

I have flown Air Berlin twice and, while that was a few years ago, it was an OK experience. Both flights were domestic (inside Germany) and they were on time and the flight attendants were friendly and helpful. Even got a "hot meal" on both flights! (Warm pretzel and cold beer was what they called a "hot meal".)

:-). Sounds better than a bag of peanuts and a Coke. We opted for a little extra legroom on the long flight, and it was still cheaper than anyone else. Thanks.

I can't speak to your route, but Air Berlin from JFK to Berlin Tegel was fine for me in 2012, and when friends of mine took it, they upgraded to Economy Plus with the extra legroom and liked this a lot. So, you should be all set.
