African Americans Traveling Thru Europe

I have been to Europe several times, traveling to England, France, Amsterdam and Holland. I must say that I had a wonderful time, and was treated with the greatest respect. I was traveling with several other people, and none of us had any bad experience while there.

If we had questions, the people were very gracious in answering them for us, and was helpful in telling us the best places to shop, eat and just getting around.

No,that was not a question. The reason that I went on-line to post my message was because I had seen Rick on the PBS station here in Georgia, and the host of the show was an African American and she asked Steve how African American tourist are treated, Rick then replied that if anyone had any experiences while traveling thru Europe we could go on-line to his Graffiti Wall to let others know of their experience.

For the future....this is the Traveler's Helpline. It's a place where people who have questions about traveling to Europe can get them answered. Those of us who do answer do not work for Rick nor does he read this board.

I was going to give you a link to the Graffiti Wall, but I see you already posted there.

Again, welcome to the Help Line Barbara. Enjoyed reading your feed back.

It is my understanding that Rick Steves' does read the Help Line. I have heard him reference it before.

Thanks again. I am sure African Americans would also enjoy your feed back as there has been questions here before relating to your feed back.
