Aer Lingus for next June to Europe

Has anyone traveled with Are Lingus lately? I found some good deals for next June but I’m scared to try this airline based on reviews. Also, is it too early to be planning a European trip for next June? Thanks in advance!

Used it 3 years ago for a round trip Chicago to Duesseldorf, with plane changes in Dublin. Everything was smooth as can be. Check in staff at Duesseldorf were especially helpful. I would use them again.

I see no reason to fear Aer Lingus (other than a name that sounds funny to 14-year-old boys). I'm looking forward to flying them next sumer - I'll let you know after that.

Not at all!!

I just returned from amsterdam on aer lingus on Sunday. If the fare is right and they go where u wish to go,then get your ticket. There is actually more leg room in economy than say United the food is ok.They do sell alot of snacks in betw meals. Hope this helps.

I flew them back in November. It was fine, had to pay for alcohol but the food was fine. The advantage was immigration at Dublin, which allowed me fly to Heathrow as a domestic flight and bypass the lines at Heathrow. Coming back, I precleared USA immigration in Dublin thus avoiding immigration at Ohare.

Dublin airport is small and compact for your connecting flight.

I wouldn’t buy tickets for June, but you know your own personal work and family situation.

I took them in July for a return from Aberdeen to San Francisco by way of Dublin. Less than 2 hours for the connection, which made me nervous, but it worked very smoothly. The person in front of me reclined their seat, so I did not have a lot of legroom. I would not hesitate to fly them again.

If you find another airline with a better deal you might find a bad review that will scare you. It is never too early to plan if you don't find it easy to travel.

We will be flying to Ireland the end of next May and I found a great price on Aer Lingus a few weeks back. I decided to purchase as I had read several articles forecasting an increase in air fares. I actually can’t believe the good price we got, half of what we usually pay to travel to Europe. Our flight is non-stop to Dublin, which is another plus. We’ve never flown Aer Lingus, but imagine that most of the airlines are comparable. I’ve read bad reviews on most of the airlines we’ve previously flown and think that is par for the course with travel these days. We always purchase trip insurance or use a travel credit card to purchase, so I was not worried about buying early. Good luck!

I’ve flown Aer Lingus several times. I’ve never had a problem, in fact, the flight attendants have gone out of their way to help as I am a very nervous flier! This has become one of my favorite airlines for traveling to Europe.

I got a great deal with Aer Lingus last year. Comfortable flight, decent food, pleasant attendants. Off the first flight and into the connecting lounge within twenty minutes, Guinness for breakfast. How can anyone complain?

hi kath
Last year flew with them from Amsterdam to San Francisco. Great flight, fabulous flight crew, smooth ride home. Like others say most airlines have good and bad review, I take it with a grain of salt. Just happy to be traveling anywhere for vacation. ☘️🍀

Aer Lingus is our favorite airline for travel to Europe, mostly because they offer the only direct flight to Europe from our home airport (Hartford). We also like the fact that you can go through US customs and immigration in Dublin on the way home. The fares are usually decent.

We have not experienced any problems with this airline. All flights go through Dublin, which is an easy airport to navigate.

In recent years, Aer Lingus has had a sale in early January for spring and summer flights.
