I need bright minds!
Pls suggest fun games and activities which will be fit for 20 or more people "who are all meeting for the first time". Like an ice breaker for a small gathering or reunion.
It may be something you have already done with your family and friends

Do these people all speak the same language or are you looking for something that isn't too language heavy?

One neat game is to create a grid and fill it with questions instead of numbers. Use things like- someone with scar longer than 4"- someone who has never been to Washington, DC- someone who speaks more than one language-- you get the idea. It helps if the person making the game knows at least some of the participants, because you can write things about them. People walk around talking and fill in their cards when they meet someone who "fits" a square.
Another idea is lie, lie , truth. You can do this in small groups or as one big group. Each person introduces themselves then tells 2 lies about themselves and one truth. The group tries to guess which is which.

Sorry I'm slow to get back to you but I couldn't find it!
I've lead a number of "getting to know you" games and I like "2 truths and a lie". It can be done orally or written with a single reader (usually I do the latter) You ask each person to tell about themself, 1-"I've been in 14 European countries" 2-"I was a home-coming princess" 3-"I am the school district parent representative on the board" Then you go around and guess which is the lie for each person. I keep score and give 2 prizes, one for the person who fooled the most people; one for the person who figured out the most lies. When you are all done you have a lot to talk about people's lives. For 20 people this takes a while, but if you'd like others let me know.
