Ace telecom cell phone rentals

Has anyone used Ace Telecom for a european phone rental? They seem less expensive than most but want to make sure they are a decent company. Any problems with using the phones etc.
Thanks

Susan, I'm not familiar with Ace Telecom, so can't offer any comments. I checked one website for Ace Telecom (there seems to be several with that name) and was surprised to see that they don't publish their rates for calls. Each category said "Contact Us", which for me is a "red flag". If you decide to use them be sure to post a note here when you get back, as the information may be helpful for others. Cheers!

Susan - who is your provider here? I know Verizon has a loaner phone program. It really depends on your main use of the phone. If you need something to phone places in Europe for reservations then getting a EU based number should work out cheaper - if you want to stay in touch with folks in the US then a US # might be cheaper. If you have a smart phone you can download any number of apps that allow you call using wifi on the phone - no cell signal needed - this is by far the cheapest way to make calls.
