accomodations in Paris after the R/S Tour

Does anyone have a quaint or unique Hotel/ B&B in Paris that they really enjoyed? I'm planning on three extra days in Paris after the tour. Thanks once again ( you guys are really GREAT!!!) Jim

Jim,

Which RS Tour are you taking? One possibility might be to arrange the extra days in the same Hotel used by the tour. Have you received information yet on which Hotel you'll be using, and in which area of Paris it's located?

Do you have a preference for the area you want to stay in? What price range are you considering?

Jim,

I usually stay in the Rue Cler area, so am more familiar with Hotels in that area.

Some Hotels you might have a look at are the This Hotel, the This Hotel or the This Hotel. They're all in the same area, reasonably close to the Eiffel Tower.

I'm sure the rest of the group will have suggestions on Hotels in other parts of Paris.

Cheers!

Hi Ken,
Thanks for the reply. We are taking the 21 day Best of Europe Tour. We will be staying at the Hotel Beaugency, located between the Eiffel Tower and the Invalides. I wanted to find something special or unique for our last 3 days in Paris. Our Price range between 80 & 130 Euro's/day ( approx.)Maybe a cange of scenery or a different part of Paris.

Thanks again !! :-) Jim

I can echo the praise for the Duquesne Eiffel Hotel mentioned above. We stayed there in 2008 on a Rick Steves Family France tour and totally loved it! Views of the Eiffel Tower are fantastic from the lucky rooms! I believe it's within your budget as well with some pre-planning. Have fun!

Jim, the hotel looks good enough,, it is small, and in what many would consider a great area. Changing hotels after the tour eats up your time. You will have to check out by 11 or so,, take all your luggage to next hotel, maybe be able to check in, may be told room is not ready, and to come back at 2 or 3 in afternoon. New hotel will store luggage,, but, you by now have just wasted an entire morning in Paris,, a day you could have used to do a daytrip to Versailles or Giverny,, for example. I know ,, I have done this,, taken a RS family tour that ended in Paris, and then checked into another hotel.I did however have a total of twelve extra days in Paris,, so found a cheaper hotel in an area I prefered . My point is that I did end up spending hours that day dealing with switching hotels. I wouldn't do it for three days.
Hotel Beaugency also offers special rates for three night stays,, depending on dates you could get a good deal. Think about it.
Reviews on that hotel are decent,, and you will already know where nearest metro is ,,and what lines to take ,, as part of the RS experience they will have already taught you all that.
