The hotel we chose requires full payment in advance with no possible refund for cancellation no matter how far in advance. I can't do that! Any suggestions for hotels or bed and breakfasts in Chartres, France for this coming May?

We stayed last week at Hotel Chalet. Very clean, close to Cathedral, train station and secure parking for a car. hotelchalet.com Reserved online and they did charge a deposit. We paid the rest upon leaving. Airport hotels at Charles de Gaulle also charge in advance. We didn't reserve our final hotel at airport until we arrived in France. Karen

Tried the Hotel Chatelet. Amazingly, it's booked for next May!!
