Any suggestions on whether to purchase travel insurance? Will be traveling in Italy and England for about 3 weeks. thanks in advance!

I am curious -- what is the relationship between the title of this posting and the question?
As to the question, it is an assessment of risk? Couple kinds of insurance -- medical to cover accidents, etc. and is probably a good idea. The other is trip interruption/cancellation - what is the value of the trip compared to what you pay for the insurance? We never use cancellation insurance when it is just the two of us traveling. However, when we have a group -- 6, 8 people then we do because the risk of something happening to eight is much great than two. And two people are far more flexible than eight. Which kind of insurance are you looking for? Health or trip kind?
My Kaiser Permanente covers me all over the world.
The other kind, like for lost laguagge etc I consider it waste of money. How many times do they lose your luggage? It's never happened to me, but I am sure it happens sometimes.
