Just curious if anyone has been able to receive mobile boarding passes with Swiss Air traveling from the states?
Here is my dilemma …I am flying to Heathrow from JFK on Jet Blue’s new London route on September 22nd, I was awarded two flight vouchers last year so I have to fly them through LHR. I plan on flying to Zurich on Swiss Air from LHR, obviously on a separate ticket. I realize to stay airside transit I will need a boarding pass.
Another option would be to check in at the Swiss Air counter at JFK since I have a 7 hour layover and they have a flight that evening to Zurich so ticket counter will be open. Does anyone think they would check me in at JFK for my LHR to ZUR flight?
I emailed Swiss Air but never got reply back. Any insight would be helpful! Thanks!
i believe you need a passport check in order to get a boarding pass, so would try getting one at JFK. Whenever I travel internationally, I can never get a boarding pass from the electronic kiosks, probably for this same reason.
Safe travels!
You don't necessarily need a passport check to get a boarding pass. (You need to have your passport checked before you actually board the aircraft.)
Try first to get one online. If that doesn't work, then you can try the Swiss Air counter.
