A new back door in Kidlington, England?

I just saw an article about a village in England. It seems that busloads of Chinese tourists have been showing up on Thursdays. They walk around, see the sights, and take pictures. No one knows why. I wonder if there is not a Rick Steves double writing travel books in China, and they have now made poor Kidlington a tourist trap.

Karen - I notice that it's a 15 minute drive from Blenheim Palace.

Kidlington is basically a suburb of Oxford - not really a "village" nowadays. It's got a small airport for general aviation only and one of the biggest supermarkets in the area.

Maybe the coach tour companies don't want to deal with the hassle and expense of driving into central Oxford so they're pretending that Kidlington is an important destination?
