Think of it as Africa upside down.
Bottom left with bright lights is southern Spain/Gibraltar Strait, close to northern Africa.
If viewing on phone/tablet, flip it upside down and picture will make more sense.
The Earth appears to us as upside down, with the western Sahara and Iberian peninsula visible to the left and the eastern portion of South America to the right.
Nasa identified the bright planet to the bottom right as Venus.

I could identify the Straight of Gibraltar but couldn’t figure out why Spain was so big and brown!
