A driving route from Colmar to Rothenburg ob du tauber ?

I will be staying for 2 nights before driving to Rothenburg ob du tauber. I know it is a long drive but would like to drive through the black forest and have a black forest cake, buy a clock along the way. Can anybody here suggest a suitable route or good waypoints along the way? I should be using a GPS.. Thanks
