Hello - Anyone know of a good tour guide in Budapest? Thanks! Cory
I met Andrew ILLES on my first trip to Budapest about 12 years ago and have hired him again for special tours about a half dozen times. He is one of the better guides we have hired in any country. http://www.guideinbudapest.com/
Peter Polczman (http://budapestyourself.com/)is amazing. He was my guide on a RS tour but lives in Budapest and does private guiding. Warm, friendly, engaging, and understandable. Highly recommended.
I, too, recommend Peter Polczman. I retained him for a private, 4-hour tour of Budapest. He's excellent and his English is superb...and I do mean his English, since his study of our language was British English! He not only knows Budapest, but is well versed on all manner of topics. You'll find him resourceful and engaging.
I too recommend Peter who we had for a guide in Budapest. He is one of those folks who you would invite to spend the night in your home.
Peter is great! Just had the 4 hour Pest tour with him, helped IMMENSELY with our understanding and enjoyment of the city. He's the kind of guy you want to have come visit you (with his family, of course, I'm sure they're lovely) so you can give him as good a tour of your own city!
