Train Schedule Help !!

Hi all, with about a month away from my first family europe trip, I'm in the midst of getting the train schedules down right now and I need your help!!! It will be 2 weeks total, three countries, France (Paris)-Switzerland (Interlaken)-Italy (Venice)- Italy (Rome). Please review my train itinerary and help! I think, the only trains I need to make the seat reservations for are, TGV, Eurocity (Brig-Venezia), and Eurostar, right?? Also, what would be the best way to make reservations for those and which seats would be the best for my family? (my wife, myself, and a 2 year-old toddler) I really appreciate all of your helps in advance !!!

For your 5 min change in Basel, the Swiss Rail website shows the station plan for Basel, and it shows tracks 8 and 7 sharing the same platform, so it will be a cross-platform change. The train to Interlaken, IC1071 should be waiting on track 8 when your TGV arrives in the station. Just be ready to get off when the train stops. According to the Bahn website, the TGV, EC, and ES all have compulsory reservations. Reservations for Basel to Interlaken (IC1071) are requested, but not required.
