Interested in touring a winery in Cassis or Bandol area (Domaine du Bagnol), having a great lunch of croissants, pastries or crepes, perhaps visiting Chateau d'if or Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild. Does anyone have any comments about these sites? Also can anyone recommend a tour company in this area?

I can only address the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild which is very worthwhile if you like gardens. You don't really need a tour, just read up a little on it before you go. The food is good and the views spectacular if you decide to stay for lunch.

The vineyards for Cassis are up the hill behind the train station or on the road leading up along the coast. You can walk out there easily. The bakeries are in the town. There's a wine shop in town. Crepes are in the fast food stands and are made from factory batter. If you want good crepes, you'll need to hit villages in Brittany. Go for local food instead, something that goes with white wine because the Cassis wine is a dry white. Bandol has white, rose, and red, but not Cassis.

There is actually red and rose Cassis wine, but very little of it is made. If you want red or rose in that area, I'd stick to Bandol.
