Rome Tours

Hi! I'm going to be in Rome for 3 days and was wondering if anyone could recommend good tours/tour companies. Thanks!

Check the Graffiti Wall and also the section where people write their feedback about the Rick Steves guidebooks. You will find plent of reviews. You can also check Trip Advisor for the most up to date reviews of tour companies.

We have been very pleased with Angel Tours and tours we find at the TI.

We thought Context Rome offered a great tour. Our guide was a native of Rome.

Last summer we booked Gray Line Tours.com, here in the U.S. You can look up Gray Line Tours.com on the net and put in the cities you are going to. It will likst the tours they do. They are the largest tour copany in the U.S. We ahve used Gray Line Tours, in Turkey, Rome, Paris, London, Switzerland, Australia, Boston, New York, Canada, etc.l They subcontracted the tours out to another company in Rome. I forget the name, but they will tell you obviously. We enjoyed seeing the Vatican, the Forum, around Rome, etc.

Why not add some income to the local tour companies in Italy rather than a huge company like Grey Line? Going with a good, reputable walking tour company in Rome is going to get you the best tour, with more details and things of interest rather than a generic bus tour.

Through Eternity is fabulous! We took both the Vatican Museum and Forum and Coloseum tour with them. And I agree with the suggestion of Context; although we haven't taken a tour in Rome with Context we did in Paris and Venice and they are terrific!

We just got back from Rome a few days ago. Agree with Andrea on Through Eternity tours. Took the same ones, and they were great. Highly rated on Trip Advisor. Our tour of Vatican/St Peters was the 5 hr. one. Enjoy

Gray Line Tours (based here in the U.S.) books the tours in Rome, with their local counterpart. We had excellent tours. You can go to Gray Line Tours.com and see the list of tours offered over there.

I have used Enjoy Rome for several tours on a number of visits to Rome. Their guides are great - often native English speakers.
