where do you purchase phone cards in Italy, and how do they work
Patty, I don't have personal experience myself with Italy, but in other European countries, you can get prepaid cards in convenience stores, tobacco shops, etc. You can buy a phone card in the U.S., too. The rates are likely cheaper overseas, though. But, just by example, I have an AT&T card that I've used for years (bought it at Walmart of Sam's Club, I think). Here's how the phone cards work: * You dial a toll-free number in the foreign country from a payphone. * You then dial the number you want to call. (You may need to use the correct country code + number combination.)
