My sister & I are going to this area for 2 wks. Should I book starting the end of Sept about the 27th or wait until Oct 12th for the last 2 weeks in Oct. I'm concerned about the heat in Sept, but also worried about the rain in Oct.

Late September will not be too hot although the warm weather has arrived so late this year that I am hopeful it will still be quite warm. I would expect to be still swimming in the pool. It wouldn't be what I would call hot - but maybe that is just personal preference. Personally, I would go for September, especially if you are staying near a beach.

Late Sept. sounds good. We were there in mid Oct. and weather was still warm enough for the occasional dip in the sea. You might want to hire a car and travel inland to get a true taste of Spain and get away from all the Brits and the tacky tourist joints. Alhambara and the Sierra Navada are wonderful. A day trip to the Rock of Gibralta.
