I will be joining Rick's tour in 2 weeks. One item on their check list is driver license. I am not planning to drive there. Is license necessary as second piece of photo identification? Is a copy sufficient for identification?
Tina, Which tour will you be joining? Even if you're not planning to drive, a D.L. is sometimes useful when renting Audioguides. I'd much rather leave that as a "deposit" rather than my Passport. I doubt that a copy would be sufficient as a "security deposit".
Ken is correct. When renting audio guides and other equipment you need a "security item" and I would rather leave a driver license than the passport. While some recommend a copy as a sub for the real thing it is not. Copy simply proves that you once had it.
