Hi, my travel book shows there is an overnight "Trenhotel 00996" from Barcelona to Malaga, depart 21.45 arrive 08.30, but I cannot find it online...not on raileurope.com or renfre. I hope this still exists!! Anyone know how to find and reserve this train? Thank you!

Hi Steven My suggestion is to take a look at www.skyscanner.com for discount flights from Barcelona to Malaga. Just be sure you read the fine print expecially for luggage weight and size or you will be fined heavily! I know there are flights from Barcleona to Granada. The overnight train (if it exists) is probably way more expensive. Bobbie

Thank you Bobbie! I followed your recommendation and booked a 1.5 hour flight Barcelona to Malaga...$53 total on iberian. Somebody said Renfre has eliminated that overnight train....I think this will need to be udapted for Rick Steve's 2012.
