My husband and college age daughter will be spending the weeks before and after Christmas in Spain. Does anyone have a recommendation for a great location to spend Christmas. We also want to spend some time in Southern Spain for the warmer climate but that doesn't have to be Christmas.

We spent 2 weeks in Seville over Xmas last year and loved it. We used it as a base for a number of day trips but Seville itself is just lovely and the weather very mild. Spain doesn't shut down over Xmas/New Year like UK and Australia for example.

Marian, my wife and I spent Christmas in Spain last year. Any of the cities were wonderful. Sevilla was great. We went to midnight mass in Sevilla. Toledo and Madrid were also wonderful. Any of the Southern parts of Spain were great. We even attended a local Christmas concert in the old town section of Tarifa prior to going to Morocco.
