Hotel Romerhof. Just east of where the Nahe flows into the Rhine. If this doesn't work, walk around and find a privat zimmer - - most of the other hotels we've nosed into ain't that good.

Annice, I don't believe Bingen is covered in any detail in the Guidebook, so you might check Trip Advisor for listings of Hotels in that area. Are you firm on staying in Bingen, or would one of the other nearby towns suffice? Good luck!

We plan to take the Bingen to Braubach river cruise. We will have a car so a nearby town would also work for us. Any recommendations?

Since you will have a car, I would drive up the Rhine to the lovely town of Bacharach. Rick Steves has several listings for Bacharach. However, many of them do not have parking and are close to the train tracks. We have stayed at Malerwinkel which is a several hundred year old hotel and has great parking. From this hotel, you can take a short walk into town. Not sure about a room for three. We have also stayed at Pension Steeger Tal which is outside of Bacharach in the town of Steeg. It's just up in the hills surrounding Bacharach. This pension has a room for three people. Check their website at: steeger-tal.de For a great dinner at a great price, have dinner at Cafe Restaurant Rusticana. It's a bit worn inside, but the food is great. Have fun on your trip.
