Do I need a converter or an adapter? both? Neither? Thanks!

Most electronics these day are designed to handle all currents worldwide. You can confirm this by checking the specifications. If it says something like "AC input 110-240" then no converter is needed you just need the adapter plugs. If the device only mentions 110 OR 120 volts, you need both a converter and an adapter. European adapter plugs are sold in the travel store section of this site.

My battery chargers, Sony video cam charger, etc...all noted 110/240 on the underside.

You can buy dual voltage hair dryers here in the US. Just turn the dial to 240 or 250 whichever is listed.

All we need when visiting 8 countries were the adapters specific for each country.
