We are going to Lucca in May for a few days and have been looking for a hotel, B&B, guesthouse within the old city fairly close to the train station. Have checked out places in Rick's Italy 2005 but still want some other ideas. If you have any suggestions and web-sites we could visit I would be most greatful. Thank you

We stayed at the Piccolo Puccini Hotel, which was near Piazza San Michele and found it quite comfortable, just Google for the website.

We also stayed at the lovely Piccolo Puccini. The location was wonderful, within the city walls. It was a very easy walk from the train station pulling our luggage. The price, something like 75 Euros per night, was great, too.
