We're planning on a trip to Italy mid-April. Flying into Rome and out of Venice. When do you think is the best time to book the flight?

You buy when the price is right - at a level that you believe is reasonable. There is no such thing as a "best time" to buy. If there was everyone would wait till then. It is extremely difficult to forecast. Use comparefare.com to see what the historical price have been that is not always the best indicator either. See "Flight Question" on this site and currently about five posting downs for a discussion of the same question.

Hello Camille. If you want to wait longer, hoping for a lower price for airline tickets, I recommend : do not wait beyond January 15. And remember, April is not in the "off season" (Low season) for flights to Rome.
