5-in-1 Charger (Phone, Camera, iPod, etc...)

There won't be one device that can do both small items like an ipod and cellphone, and a laptop. There is too big a difference in power requirements.

If you only have two devices, look at the Fueltank Duo made by the same people who make the Chargepod.

The Fueltank Duo is like an external battery. Once the Fueltank is charged, it can then charge two devices at the same time and give them up to four charges before it needs to be recharged. Great in situations where there's no plug. I have both the Chargepod and the Fueltank Uno. (The fueltanks can be recharged either directly from the wall or from the Chargepod.)

What type of devices do you need to charge? The device you're probably thinking of is This One, which charges six devices at once.

At the time you order, you'll need to select the appropriate Plug sets for the devices you'll be using. They have Plugs for most common Cellphones, PDA's, IPods, etc. You'll note from their advertisement that the Charger supplied IS designed to work from 100-240 VAC, so all you'll need is the appropriate Plug Adapter to use this in Europe. I used one on my last trip and it worked well!

However, as Steve mentioned, this device is not designed to charge devices such as electric Razors, Laptops and some Camera Chargers. For example, my Canon Cameras both use proprietary Batteries and Chargers, so it's necessary to pack those along as well. The Canon Chargers are very compact and also designed for "world" operation so that's not a problem.

Yes, this was it. However, I'm now thinking that I can only use it for my phone and iPod....

Eli...the Chargepod and Fueltank are dual voltage. All you need is the UK plug adaptor.

The Juice jack is not available in the U.S. as Tesco Direct does not ship here.

The ChargePod will work just fine in the U.K. (the Charger supplied with it is designed for operation from 100-240 VAC).

However, as Frank II mentioned, you'll need a U.K. Plug Adapter, which is different than the Adapters required for use with electrical systems on the continent.

THIS is the non-grounded Plug Adapter for the U.K. while THIS is the non-grounded Euro Plug Adapter.
