I have a 4 hour and 45 minute layover in Iceland in the summer landing at 1:45 PM and departing at 6:30 PM. Could I get out and see Reykjavik? What should I see? I will be alone and will have no checked bags. Thanks!
I think Rejkjavik is about 45 mins from the airport. So with that short a layover, may not be worth it. The Blue Lagoon may be doable - but will require advance rez
The Iceland Air site shows "stopover" programs covering 1 day ( 24 hr) stops up to 5 day tour suggestions.
You may want to contact Iceland Air, to see if your stop is long enough to really go anywhere or do something.
The above assumes you are flying Iceland Air.
You can schedule shuttles ahead of time to meet you at the airport. I see them advertised through both Iceland Air (my next flight in September) and WOW Air (my last two flights). I don't think you have much time, maybe enough time to go to the Blue Lagoon (you will need reservations for that too) hot springs for a couple of hours if you don't have to worry about bags/checking in?
