Brussels or Bruges?

I generally prefer Brussels, but with so little time, Brugge is probably more manageable. Brugge is good for instant gratification, Brussels takes a little more exploring and effort.

On my last trip to Europe we stayed in both Brussels and in Bruges. I agree with the previous poster, that they are two totally different experiences. If I only had one day and 2 nights, I would pick Bruges. It is a smaller city, easy to navigate, and the high points can be seen in one very full day. It is a beautiful city and there is a lot to do in the evenings as well. If you like beer, check out Straffe Hendrik Brewery.

I vote Brugge for sure! I spent 5 nights there and loved it. hope I can go back again someday.
