We are a family of 4 (teenagers included) traveling to Prague this summer, and having a hard time finding a hotel to accomadate us in 1 room. Any suggestions on a particular hotel in an ideal location? We have champagne taste on a beer budget....
I stayed at Hotel Salvator just a few blocks from the Old Town. It was kind of shabby chic with lots of Salvidor( thus Hotel Salvator)Dali prints on the walls. It was clean, comfortable and nice; I don't know if it's champagne, maybe an inexpensive sparkling wine on a beer budget:) I was alone, but had a "suite" that was probably normally blocked off into two seperate rooms with a shared bathroom. It could easily have accomodated a family with 2 teens.

By the way, this was about 5 years ago.
I stayed at Aparthotel Davids in Prague last summer which was charming and clean. It sounds like it would be a good place for a family and was within walking distance to everything, but quiet. I found it on hostelworld.com, but they have their own website, www.davids.cz. We stayed at the location at Biskupsky Dvur, on the border of Old Town and New Town. We are two fifty something women who love to travel, but look for inexpensive, comfortable, safe, clean, and good locations. These surpassed our expectations. Good luck!
One of the most popular places to stay is the Arcadia Residence apartments in the Old City center. They consistently get rave reviews AND it's one of the cheapest places around.
I stayed at this place and enjoyed it. It has good rooms, good breakfast (included), an attached bar/restaurant, and is in the heart of Prague.
The Cloister Inn was pretty good. Convenient and there were two rooms and a frig. Our room slept three but they may have quads too.
I booked an apartment, which I suggest for a family of 4, with prague-stay.com. It has great reviews
and the apartments are very large and modern inside
old buildings! Prices are reasonable too!
Happy Travels!
Thanks for your advise,I'll start researching your suggestions.
