Has anyone successfully used europeandestinations.com for their travel planning and reservations. We're finding great deals, but are worried that they are too good to be true.
Thanks!

I purchased a vacation through them to London and Rome. Their customer service is good. I even switched hotels after booking without problems and they will notify you of any updates (one of my flight times was changed and they let me know before BA sent out their email). There are a few things to watch for. They do charge for some changes after the fact so read the fine print. I was lucky that the hotels I wanted to switch to cost a dollar or two more so fees did not apply. Of course you should research your hotel options prior to booking.
I'd use them again for another quick vacation but never for anything longer than two weeks. The only thing I'm moaning about now is the lack of control going through a travel agent plus the inability to use my BA and SAS club cards for points at booking. Overall the deal I got on my 10 day vacation was worth the negatives. Could I have purchased something for the same price? Sure - if I stayed in budget lodging and gave up my central highly rated hotels with twin rooms (one w/ a queen and a double, one w/ two doubles. Traveling w/ brother + one bed = no thank you!).
I was wondering about this site myself - thank you for the post and the replies. I have done allot of research and I have found no other place that can beat the price. We have used gotoday.com in the past and had great experiences but we needed to customize our trip more and the site is very user-friendly. I also like the ability to be able to talk to a live person if I need to. Some of the posts on tripadvisor.com aren't the best but I think they were pretty old. Thanks again!
I don't have personal knowledge, but my friend used them to do Paris and Venice. He was very satisfied.
Thank you for your replies!
I think one thing this website does is to give you a place to try out itineraries.
Now, cost wise, it seems cheaper, but maybe doing it all yourself is the ultimate in frugality. Just amazing to me that you can get really nice hotels in the center of all the action without paying a fortune.
I tried gotoday.com also but didn't like how restricted you were to their already designed itineraries. I'm glad I was able to help out. I bought the trip from them even though I couldn't find any "professional" reviews online and was worried but everything went fine. I contacted my hotels and airlines directly after booking and they all responded that they received the reservation and payment.
my sonand i did a italian vacation couple years ago rome florence and venice. no complaints .however pieced together a vacation this march thru skyauction and hotels.com.was unsatisfied with the customer service from sky auction but recieved my airline tickets, the exact same trip same flight same hotel thru european destinations was 445 dollars more. just some food for thought.
