I'd want more time on Naxos and less on Mykonos. The latter is tourist-swamped and one full day would be enough for me. Naxos is worth several days.

I loved Barcelona and was very happy to spend more than a week there this summer, but--not yet having been to southern France--I can't weigh time there against time in France.

You have direct flights with Vueling from Mykonos and Santorini to Rome, so you can avoid travelling back thru Athens.

Perhaps Greek island hopping...
Sunday, June 11 Athens
Tuesday, June 13 Mykonos
Friday, June 15 Naxos
Sunday, June 17 Santorini
Then fly...
Monday, June 19 Rome
Vueling Airlines VY3315
08:55 JTR Santorini (Thira)
10:15 FCO Rome Fiumicino

I would still choose either Avignon or Arles - it's only 18min by train between them.

I would be inclined to use a budget airline between Venice and Nice. Allow 1 1/2 hour for trip down grand canal, 1/2 hour each end for transfer to/from airports. 90 minutes at airport before departure, 1H15m flight.
Beats 9 hour train ride. Should be less expensive also.

Naxos over Mykonos, in terms of splitting time. I based in Nimes for several nights, used public transportation to visit the area, including the Pont du Gard.

Too little time in Florence.

Otherwise a good itinerary. While in Mykonos if you are interested in ancient history there is a ferry to the island of Delos that is a half day trip and excellent. Also, in Mykonos near the port there is an excellent restaurant, Niko's Taberna. It is not expensive, a bit touristy, but great value.
