Hi, everyone! We'll be spending a week in Italy in July and afterwards have 4 days to spend in another country. We'd like to just stay at one hotel and take day trips for sightseeing. We've been to France, Switzerland, and Spain and would like to visit somewhere we haven't been. If you had 4 days where would you go?
Thanks
Have you consider Croatia? It is right across the Adriatic from Italy. It's on my list.
I don't know much about Croatia. What city would we stay in? Is there plenty to do for 4 days? Do you know of a nice hotel there? Since we"re only going to be there a short time, we thought we'd splurge on our hotel.
Thanks!
Gosh, after a week in Italy I would want to spend four days.......in Italy some more!
Munich, Salzburg, Vienna?
Munich. Take daytrips to Alps (Garmisch-Partenkirchen,) Salzburg, Dachau Concentration Camp, Nuremberg, Herrenchiemsee Palace - http://www.herrenchiemsee.de/englisch/n_palace/index.htm - by train on Bayern Ticket daypass for 29 Euros per day (good for 2-5 people) to any or all of the above.
Yes, we love Italy! In fact, this is our 5th trip there.
Several people have suggested Vienna and Munich and we've been looking into that. Rotten burg (sp?) medieval town in Germany was suggested but not sure that would be a 4 day trip.

I agree about Croatia. Beautiful country and easy to get around. Dubrovnik is stupendous. Kotor, Montenegro is also beautiful.
