'Mary', Texan in CA is Out of the (Luggage) Closet as...

...Eileen, Texan in CA! For several reasons, I chose my first name, Mary, when I started posting (ex, there were already 2 'Eileens' actively posting at that time). But, I've decided to throw caution to the wind and use Eileen ;-)....(you knew the winky-smiley-face was coming...)

Good to know you as Eileen now! How did you manage to keep a message count when you changed names? nigel

I think your post count stays the same if you keep the same email address associated with your account. If you post using another email address, the number changes.

So, Nancy, does that mean you too have another alias? Personally I have a difficult time with just one name and would probably be completely confused if I had 2 personalities[INVALID]ummm, I mean, 2 names!

Hey Eileen, wait Mary, no...come on now, why do you have to go and confuse everyone. ;-) What would happen if everyone using a different name (and you know who you are) decide to come out of the closet,so to speak? As long as we are confessing to claiming something that isn't true, I hereby announce that I do not actually live in Sacramento. No, I lied about that. I live in Antelope. I'm sure you all know where that is, right? Yeah, that's what I thought. It is just north of Sacramento. As a matter of fact, when I bought my house it was in Sacramento. No, I didn't move the house (though I wish I could), they just renamed my area. Phew...I feel better getting that off my chest. Back to you Eileen...

Yes, Nigel, I can't escape from my past...And Andrea, that's at least 2 'baddies' - 1) you've never purchased "ETBD", and 2) apparently, you're a liar ;-)....At least my name IS Mary...(snort/giggle)...better watch yourself...

Well, I wasn't exactly trying to hide anything by using initials, but since we're all coming clean I guess I will too. You can call me Dee Dee.

Thank you sooo much, Doug! I briefly considered using "Franklin, USA", but...;-)

Hi DeeDee!!! And as far as lying...well, I think that is a little harsh! I do live in Sacramento County. Does that count? And Antelope WAS once Sacramento. So, in the grand scheme of things it could be much worse. After all, I could make up travel experience to drive up my post count, but I would never do that. I do have standards!!

OK, Andrea - you DID live in Sacramento...I just felt so deceived and hurt when I first learned the truth. Why, oh why, couldn't you have just TRUSTED us with the complete truth at the beginning? We're your friends...(slowly shaking head, sadly) We would have accepted 'Antelope'...AND YOU (sniffling)!

Sorry everyone (hanging my head in shame), can you forgive me my deception (even though is was a really small one).

Well, I think the Helpline should be a safe place for people to open up, so I vote against the public burning-at-the-stake. (<<group hug>>)

I can't keep up with you guys. Is this Eileen the same person who wrote me as Mary? That was a very nice Mary, which does not mean that any other Mary was not nice. Now I am getting confused. So you are Eileen aka Mary, who decided once and for all to make a fresh start or come out of the closet with luggage and all? Or did you leave the luggage behind? Make sure it's not over 22" by the way. Maybe I should change my name too. I remember all the suggestions for Frank who eventually discarded them all and became FrankII. I am not a male, so maybe I should come up with something like Ellie. If that makes me sound like my great-grandmother I won't take it.. I must have had a second glass of champagne...or was it three?

I'm envious of many of you- consider the plight of we poor ones who have a marked-for-life given name, no middle name, & have never been gifted with a nickname. We're us no matter where we are. Signed Layni (who was originally from Arlington TX but mostly said "Dallas" when asked, since so few people knew/know even where Ft Worth is).

PS- I would be remiss if I didn't also say that I've found everyone on this board to be quite helpful & very nice, regardless of your name/location. Or, more accurately, I can very rarely detect some tensions, but they seem to be civilly expressed. All of those characteristics, combined with useful information & some humor, are rare & very much appreciated.

I, too, am using an assumed nom de plume. My real name is distinctive enough some would know who I am. I like a little anonimity.

To Karen, Fort Wayne, IN....ROFL! ROFL! ROFL! ROFL! ROFL! ROFL!...You know much that is hidden, O Tim. What an eccentric performance...I will find YOU a shrubbery...one that looks nice!!! Ni!.....(para break)......Eli, I'm a "very nice" Eileen, too ;-) ["Eli's comin'..." Oui, c'est moi.] If you read the top of the page, you'll see I thought about 'Franklin', too; it was a perfectly good name.....(para break).....Swan, how many 'Eileens' do you know?!? I was also going for a little anonimity, but what the heck...;-) But for what it's worth, I have no idea who you really are, so your dastardly plan is working brilliantly.....(para break).....Layni, I'm very sorry you are 'name-challenged'; my mother was in the exact same boat. My brother gave her the middle name 'Louise'; we'd all three be honored if you used it ;-) 'Layni Louise'...it's lyrical...AND I understand about DFW - I actually lived IN Dallas for 11 years, so I didn't have to outright lie like Andrea did (for shame).....(para break).....And a big 'HOWDY' to you, Larry - God Bless Texas ;-) And I do know where Pearland is, FWIW...not too far from Alvin/'Mt Olympus', otherwise known as the Home of (baseball god) Nolan Ryan!

Nope, Darcy, I'm only Nancy. We did once have another Nancy here from my same city and state (very confusing while it lasted) but she didn't stay around long.

Yes, Darcy, it was very suspicious when The Other Nancy suddenly stopped posting...Hmmmmmmm...Just sayin'...;-)

I wonder what Nancy in Bloomington did to the other Nancy. The plot thickens. I do miss Mary though :-( I hope this is not a case of Eileen getting rid of Mary because she was so popular!

Eli, I don't know what happened to the other Nancy. After that one thread, she never came back. I guess she didn't want to be NancyII.

Since you brought up the shrubbery, ni,ni, I wonder if in the middle ages helpline messages were carried by african swallows? By the way, if you had used Franklin, USA, one might wonder if that was the former almost a state which in now part of Tennessee, in which case, since you are in California, perhaps you could say you are from the state of Jefferson.... Here is to Trojan Rabbit Airlines....

Kevin, are you suggesting coconuts migrate? (perhaps they 'migrated' on Trojan Rabbit Airlines...?).......Eli, 'Mary' was prettier; she simply HAD to go........away... ;-)

Nobody wants to be a NancyII! :-) At least we have the original Nancy. Hey, that's a good name for you, OriginalNancy. No one can ever take that away. Ms. Eileen, I do worry about you...and Mary! Whatever happened to her cannot be good. I cannot tell you all how many times someone has sent me a PM saying "I thought you were a MAN!" I sometimes have to check to make sure, LOL

Oh, Eileen- how honored I am to be conferred such an illustrious middle name! I really like it, not only because it's euphonious & alliterative, but also because it's so much classier than the 2 usually suggested (though never actually given)- Lou & Sue.

Coconuts used to migrate to Arizona, but they are afraid to go there now because they don't have papers, but really one must question if the coconuts were not merely a case of mistaken identity, having come from a tropical region to a temperate zone, it is rumored that they had the name Wilson embossed on one side....

Kevin - (snort) The coconuts may have arrived by FedEx...;-)

Eli, don't you worry - Mary's just fine...just fine...she just had to go away for a little while...
