when is the best time to go to ireland. i plan on going in 2010.
Spring or fall would be my preference. The weather is still good and there are far fewer tourists. Things are open for the summer season beginning as early as the first part of March and nothing closes for the season until usually the end of October.
I second Nancy's spring or fall suggestion. In fact, I think that's pretty much the best time to travel anywhere in Europe or North America.
We went in May and it was great. I like May for up North. It's shoulder season so the crowds and rates are low. The days are relatively long and the weather is relatively good. When we were there, there was very little rain and it never interfered with any of our plans.
I WAS THINKING AROUND FALL. THANKS
I was there last week, and it was sunny 5 of my 6 days. Beautiful weather, and the sun didn't go down until 10 pm... and up at 5 am.
