Is it worth getting one of those London Passes? I plan on going to a lot of the main tourist sites but I'll only be in London for a couple of weeks.
Most of the major sights in London are free. Some, like the Tower of London, are not. The pass will be a good deal for you only if you will be going to enough of the included sights which charge admission to cover the cost of the pass. You may be better off just paying as you go.
When I went last year I got a 1 day pass.... but ended up running like a headless chicken to get my "money's worth". It is a good savings but you really have to want to go to ALL those places.
Sit down and write the attractions you MUST SEE. Then write down the cost with and without the London Pass. If the cost is beneficial and realistically you can accomplish this per day, get the pass.
Skip the transport part of the pass. Its cheaper to get the bus/tube day pass on your own, or, buy an Oyster card.
