has anyone been to Paris the last week of June? Just wondering what the crowds are like and if it's worth it
to get the Paris Pass. We wouldn't likely go to half of the 60 attractions, but would missing the lineups be worth it in itself?
Expect long lines in June... hence, skipping those lines with the Museum Pass will be like a Golden Ticket.
what a great site - thanks so much!
Hi Brenda,
Rick says that "the pass pays for itself with four admissions in two days." We bought ours at the Orsay Museum when it opened first thing in the morning. Our pass was 32 Euro each (2 day pass.) Having the pass helped us plan and structure our days so that we made the most of the time we had in Paris!
Tim's correct! I was describing the Paris Museum Pass.
Brenda,
You asked about the Paris Pass, but the people who have responded have been talking about the Paris Museum Pass. It's easy to confuse the two. IMO, the Paris Museum Pass can be a good deal, but the Paris Pass is not. It includes a Paris Visite transportation pass--and that pass is overpriced. You'll be better off buying the Paris Museum Pass separately plus some other kind of transportation pass--or simply ten-ticket carnets. For a list of all your transportation ticket and pass choices, with links to detailed explanations of each one, go here.
thank you all, very helpful. The Tomsguidetoparis is
great, and he suggests the carnet as well. Last time we were there we did that and it worked well.
The museum pass sounds good too.
